James is a Business Sales Strategist and has over 30 years of sales, marketing and small business experience. He founded Opex Corporate Business Brokers in 2005. His main objective is to maximise the sale price of his client’s businesses. He does this by being strategic in the sale planning and marketing of their businesses.
Over the years, he has sold businesses in the IT, Software, Telecommunications, Online Businesses, HR, Digital Signage, Printing, Wholesale, Industrial, Commercial Cleaning and Facilities Management sectors.
Before coming to Australia in 1978, James spent several years selling industrial, materials handling and construction equipment in Malaysia and Singapore. In Australia, he has held sales and management positions in multinational corporations in the IT industry. Over a period of 16 years in Melbourne, James owned and operated IT Services and Internet Consulting businesses.
He has practical experience in business sales and acquisitions through acquiring and divesting his own and his clients’ businesses. He has had first hand experience in planning the sale, negotiating and structuring deals. He is skilled in identifying and uncovering the ‘hidden assets’ of a client’s business. He is innovative and ethical in his approach to business dealings and strongly believes in a win-win outcome for all parties in any transaction.
James recently added Investment Property Services to his portfolio as many of his clients are also property investors. He provides project sales and marketing services in conjunction with his associates to property developers. His target clients are local and overseas investors in residential and commercial properties.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. James holds a business broking and estate agent’s license and is a member of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers.
